Harry’s Cider are a family business located just off the Somerset levels, in Long Sutton, near Langport. Harry and his son Toby, manage the 7 different cider apple varieties growing in their heritage orchard, which was planted in the early 1970’s by Harry’s father, Bill, and include Dabinett, Harry Masters Jersey, Browns and Yarlington Mills. All the fruit produced by these apple trees is still used today, along with the apples from a more recent orchard planted just 5/6 years ago.
The apples are harvested and pressed by variety, left to ferment, and then matured on the farm for a further 4-6 months prior to boxing or bottling. The cider blend that Harry has developed is something of a signature that has been worked on and refined over several years. He says, “It’s a natural product and every season is different, but I make single varietal ciders from the different apples in our orchards, then I’ll blend them together to produce what I think has the optimum flavour and aroma, and this forms the basis of our cider from one year to the next”
We have collected a number of prestigious awards over the years, including the CAMRA National Gold Award, and British Supreme Champion Cider, which we are extremely proud of!
