Harry’s Cider are a family business located just off the Somerset levels, in Long Sutton, near Langport. Harry and his son Toby, manage the 7 different cider apple varieties growing in their heritage orchard, which was planted in the early 1970’s by Harry’s father, Bill, and include Dabinett, Harry Masters Jersey, Browns and Yarlington Mills. All the fruit produced by these apple trees is still used today, along with the apples from a more recent orchard planted just 5/6 years ago.
Harrys Cider FamilyThe apples are harvested and pressed by variety, left to ferment, and then matured on the farm for a further 4-6 months prior to boxing or bottling. The cider blend that Harry has developed is something of a signature that has been worked on and refined over several years. He says, “It’s a natural product and every season is different, but I make single varietal ciders from the different apples in our orchards, then I’ll blend them together to produce what I think has the optimum flavou
