Remembrance Day Bells

On Sunday 11 November 2018, Church Bells throughout the country will ring out to commemorate the signing of the Armistice 100 years ago, to give thanks to those who lost their lives and to show our appreciation to those who returned home after four years of conflict.

The local bells will be rung in and around Huish Episcopi but because ringers have to be shared to make up numbers, they will be unable to all ring at 12.30pm.

This will be an occasion when the country remembers the sacrifice made by so many and will be a fitting conclusion to the four years of commemorations to mark the centenary of the First World War.
