National Animal Welfare Trust

The National Animal Welfare Trust at Heaven’s Gate Farm, West Henley, Langport, rescues and re-homes up to 500 animals per year, which for various reasons can no longer stay with their owners. We receive no government funding and rely totally on the generosity of public donations. Last year we launched our Kennel Appeal to build new much-needed kennel blocks so that we are able to help even more dogs. Phase 1 was completed by the end of the year and we are now busy raising funds for phase 2.

We are open for visitors from 11:00am until 3:30pm every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help in every aspect of centre life from playing with our cats to helping out at fundraising events. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please do contact us.

We also try to forge links with the local community by participating in events with our agility team and talking at local schools and groups. Please contact us if you would like to find out more.
