Library herb garden

herb garden opening

Thanks to the Friends of Langport Library, the Library now has a herb garden where you can sit and read, or learn about herbs, and – once the plants are established – even take some cuttings home with you.  There is also a learning pack for youngsters to find out more about herbs.  The garden was opened on Saturday by Janet Seaton, Chair of Langport Town Council, who planted a Sage plant and then cut the ribbon.  Jane Fitzgerald, on behalf of Shirley Robinson, thanked all the volunteers who had helped to create the garden and made it so attractive.
